A little about us

Dear Parent (or Guardian)

Thank you for taking the time to read our website which we hope you will find informative and helpful.

The site is intended to give you information about our methods and to help you to a better understanding of Autistic Spectrum Disorder from a bio-medical viewpoint.

As you are aware there is currently no cure for Autism, but a great deal can be done to improve your child’s condition. It can also be difficult to obtain advice as to how best you can help your child.

We undertake to investigate and treat every child using the most up-to-date clinical and research information available.

We have been treating children with ASD for the past 15 years and I am constantly learning. New ideas, fresh research and improved opportunities for intervention are being put forward all the time and organizations like the Autism Research Institute devote a great deal of time, effort and money into exploring and evaluating all of these. I spend a considerable amount of time researching and refining my approach to this disorder and I am always delighted when this results in improved outcomes for the children.

Autism is a disorder that has many possible causes and is described as a ‘multi-factorial’ disorder; this means that a number of factors conspire together to cause ASD in any given child.  Our task is to unravel the often complex series of factors that have resulted in your child developing Autism and then to use this knowledge to plan a course of action which we hope will lead to recovery.

The site contains a lot of information designed to give you some idea of what we do, of the task ahead and of the possible outcomes.  Please read it and then don’t hesitate to contact us via our contact page if you want to ask anything.
